The Pyrenees Mountains support some of Europe’s highest diversity of butterfly species (http://bit.ly/1Pvg4nN). I wrote this haiku when I visited the Pyrenees this past summer. During my visit butterflies were abundant, and I read a local article about the importance of the Pyrenees for butterfly diversity in Europe. I was taken by this view, looking at the Pyrenees in the distance while butterflies danced around me. The image is a panoramic view above the town of Solsona, Spain; the Pyrenees are in the distance.
